Open Directory Project - Bilingual Education - This directory includes links to websites, journals, organizations, articles, methods and materials concerning bilingual education.


Bilingual Research Journal - This NABE journal is published four times a year and covers a wide range of topics relating to bilingual education. It contains research, essays and book reviews.
Review of Educational Research - This includes journals from ER, AERJ, EEPA, JEBS, RER and RRE.
The Internet TESL Journal - A monthly web journal including articles, research papers, lessons and lesson plans, classroom handouts, teaching ideas and teaching techniques as well as links of interest to ESL teachers.
TESOL Quarterly Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages Quarterly is a publication available online with journals, research, book reviews, periodicals and news in the field.

Math & Science

Bridging the Gulf: Developing Language Literacy - This school program demonstrates how a community-based, project-oriented approach can help develop science, technology and language literacies.
NASA website in both Spanish and English for children includes science projects, games and lessons with teacher resources and a database of teaching materials.
Southwest Educational Development Laboratory: Paso Partners: Integrating Mathematics, Science and Language - This is a K-3 bilingual (Spanish/English) curriculum guide. Includes a currciculum plan, instructional strategies and activities, suggested materials and assessment procedures.

Resource Centers

Center for Multilingual, Multicultural Research provides bilingual/ESL/multicultural education resources.
Center for Applied Linguistics provides materials, such as information digests and bibliographies, for language educators. The site includes resource guides on various topics.
Center for Research on Education, Diversity and Excellence
ERIC Clearinghouse on Languages and Linguistics - The ERIC Clearinghouse on Languages and Linguistics houses numerous links and research articles.
IDRA - IDRA is an independent, non-profit organization that advocates the right of every child to a quality education. Based in Texas, IDRA conducts research and development activities; creates, implements and administers innovative education programs; and provides teacher, administrator and parent training and technical assistance.
The Latin American Network - Housed at the University of Texas, their mission is to facilitate access to Internet-based information to, from or on Latin America. This is a wonderful resource when doing research or classroom activities geared toward Latin America.
National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition & Language Instruction Educational Programs (NCELA) - Research on ways to teach students of varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds. They provide news, forums and regional information.
Southwest Educational Development Laboratory - Southwest Educational Development Laboratory supports culturally and linguistically diverse students; connects schools with their communities; and develops curriculum materials for use in teaching English to Latino children.
