Online Bilingual Certification Prep Courses

The Online Bilingual Certification Prep Course, offered by the Bilingual Education Program at Texas A&M University, can help you develop knowledge and skills for teaching English language learners (ELLs). Educators who participate in this continuing education course will increase their knowledge base for teaching ELLs and will learn to design effective instruction for ELLs. The 15-week online course provides comprehensive coverage of the teacher competencies tested on the TExES Bilingual Supplemental Examinations (#102 or #112).

Lesson topics include:

  • Language acquisition theories
  • Approaches and methods of second language teaching
  • Instructional activities that promote English language development
  • Assessment of ELLs
  • And much, much more!
